Copenhagen, Denmark is striving to be carbon neutral by 2025. One way the city reduces carbon emissions is through district heating, which uses industrial waste heat to heat and cool homes and businesses. District energy moves energy in the form of heated water from the place of production to the place of consumption through insulated pipes.
