Sustainability At Work
We at Oh planning+design, architecture are proud to hold a Gold Sustainability at Work certification, the highest level offered.
The City of Portland introduced the Sustainability at Work program in 2007 as a resource for businesses looking to improve their environmental practices. It serves as an informative resource, but also as a certification label for companies that qualify through their practices. The certification process assesses a company’s actions in areas including recycling, employee engagement, transportation, energy, water, and community engagement.
As an early adopter of the program, OHPD was one of the first architecture firms to be certified in 2008 as well as having participated in the City of Portland Office of Sustainability’s Blue Works, a predecessor. Sustainability at Work certification is both a badge of honor and a continual reinforcement of our commitment to sustainability.
